This commit adds height-based invoice expiry for hodl invoices
that have active htlcs. This allows us to cancel our intentionally
held htlcs before channels are force closed. We only add this for
hodl invoices because we expect regular invoices to automatically
be resolved.
We still keep hodl invoices in the time-based expiry queue,
because we want to expire open invoices that reach their timeout
before any htlcs are added. Since htlcs are added after the
invoice is created, we add new htlcs as they arrive in the
invoice registry. In this commit, we allow adding of duplicate
entries for an invoice to be added to the expiry queue as each
htlc arrives to keep implementation simple. Our cancellation
logic can already handle the case where an entry is already
canceled, so this is ok.

This commit makes the handoff procedure between the breachabiter and
chainwatcher use a function closure to mark the channel pending closed
in the DB. Doing it this way we know that the channel has been markd
pending closed in the DB when ProcessACK returns.
The reason we do this is that we really need a "two-way ACK" to have the
breacharbiter know it can go on with the breach handling. Earlier it
would just send the ACK on the channel and continue. This lead to a race
where breach handling could finish before the chain watcher had marked
the channel pending closed in the database, which again lead to the
breacharbiter failing to mark the channel fully closed.
We saw this causing flakes during itests.
In this commit we add a new flag that controls if lnd will do strict
zombie pruning or not. If true, then this will cause lnd to maintain a
tighter graph as it wants both edges to always be live. We enable this by
default for neutrino as without this, it's possible that a node never
sees both edges begin disabled, so those edges are never actually pruned
from the graph.
In this commit every succesfull started sub system is tracked
and in case of a failure to complete the Start function all
these sub systems are stopped using a generic cleanup function.
Since zombie pruning can be very slow on some devices (e.g. mobile) it
would stall lnd startup. Since it is not essential for pruning to be
finished for lnd to be functional, we instead delay the initial prune by
30 seconds.
Note that we could also wait for the graphPruneInterval to tick, but
since this is by default 2 hours, it is unlikely that a mobile app will
ever be open that long.
This commit deprecates/replaces the old field `sat_per_byte` with
`sat_per_vbyte`. While the old field suggests sat per byte, it’s
actually using sat per virtual byte. We use the Hidden param to hide all
the deprecated flags. These flags won't show up in help menu onwards,
while stay valid that can be passed from cli. Thus bash scripts
referencing these fields won't be broken.
This commit adds a new config option: "--coop-close-target-confs"
which allows a user to override the default target confirmations of 6
that is used to estimate a fee rate to use during a co-op closure
initiated by a remote peer.
Add a new boolean parameter without changing any existing
functionality. The parameter will be used to indicate
whether a request to update a channel's status was made
manually by a user (currently always false).
We are going to use the config struct to allow getting and setting
of the mission control config in the commits that follow. Self node
is not something we want to change, so we move it out for better
separation.
This commit caps the update fee the initiator will send when the anchors
channel type is used. We do not limit anything on the receiver side.
10 sat/vbyte is the current default max fee rate we use. This should be
enough to ensure propagation before anchoring down the commitment
transaction.
In certain container set ups, it's useful to optionally have lnd just shutdown if it detects that its certs are expired, as assuming there's a hypervisor to restart the container/pod, then upon restart, lnd will have fully up to date certs.
In this commit, we add a new option to toggle gossip rate limiting. This
new option can be useful in contexts that require near instant
propagation of gossip messages like integration tests.
With this commit we rename the existing AvailableDiskSpace function to
its correct name AvailableDiskSpaceRatio as it only returns a ratio. We
then go ahead and add a new function that returns the actual number of
free bytes available on a file system.
This also fixes some comments and always returns an error instead of
panicking.
The getblockchaininfo call in bitcoind uses a commonly used lock,
csmain, in bitcoind. This made the endpoint unsuitable for a health
check, because some nodes were seeing waits up to 5 minutes (!). This
commit updates our health check function to use the uptime api, provided
our bitcoind version is > 0.15, when the api was added. We do not need
to switch our health check for btcd, because it has more granular
locking.
To allow nodes more control over the amount of time that their funds
will be locked up, we add a MaxLocalCSVDelay option which sets the
maximum csv delay we will accept for all channels. We default to the
existing constant of 10000, and set a sane minimum on this value so that
clients cannot set unreasonably low maximum csv delays which will result
in their node rejecting all channels.
- let users specify their MAXIMUM WUMBO with new config option which sets the maximum channel size lnd will accept
- current implementation is a simple check by the fundingManager rather than anything to do with the ChannelAcceptor
- Add test cases which verify that maximum channel limit is respected for wumbo/non-wumbo channels
- use --maxchansize 0 value to distinguish set/unset config. If user sets max value to 0 it will not do anything as 0 is currently used to indicate to the funding manager that the limit should not be enforced. This seems justifiable since --maxchansize=0 doesn't seem to make sense at first glance.
- add integration test case to ensure that config parsing and valiation is proper. I simplified the funding managers check electing to rely on config.go to correctly parse and set up either i) non wumbo default limit of 0.16 BTC OR ii) wumbo default soft limit of 10 BTC
