This commit fixes a bug wherein the wallet would use the default relay
fee to craft transactions. On testnet, this might be insufficient or be
rejected all together in a mainnet setting. Therefore, we now pass in
the FeeEstimator interface and ensure that it’s consulted in order to
set the relay fee the wallet will use to craft transactions.
Note that this is a hold over until we have true dynamic fee
calculation within lnd which can then be extended to the internal
wallets.
This commit overhauls the way that lnd is created with the goal of
ensuring the chain backends are fully synced up before the daemon
itself starts. The rpcServer has been slightly decoupled from the
server itself s.t we can start the rpcServer independently of the
server. This is required as we’ll now wait (unless we’re in simnet
mode) for the chain to fully sync up before we even _start_ any of the
server’s goroutines.
This commit expands the field within the OpenChannel struct in order to
start tracking the height that the funding transaction was initially
broadcast. Other sub-systems within lnd can now use this data to give a
more accurate height hint to the ChainNotifier, or to use during the
funding workflow to decide if a channel should be forgotten after it
fails to confirm for N blocks.
This commit modifies the Peers method on the server such that a caller
is able to query this method without the main serger goroutines
started. This is a small component in a larger change which will let us
start the RPC server independently of the server.
This commit finishes up the implementation of newChainControlFromConfig
in order to properly initiate the members of the chainControl struct
when the new light client mode (neutrino). With this lnd is now able to
switch over to either mode with a simple configuration change.
This commit adds a new case and proper initialization for the
NeutrinoNotifier implementation, such that it can be tested in-line
with the other implementations for proper behavior conformity.
Due to a delay when btcd sends invs for new blocks, the timeouts for
several of the tests has been extended in order to give enough time for
propagation of the new block.
This commit adds an initial rough implementation father ChainNotifier
interface for neutrino, our new light client implementation. This
implementation largely borrows from the existing BtcdNotifier
implementation. As a result, a follow up commit will perform two
refactoring in order to further consolidate code.
This commit adds a new implementation of the FilteredChainView
interface. This implementation speaks purely to the p2p network and is
backed by a new experimental light client implementation.
This commit fixes a slight regression in the logic of the switch by
ensuring that the log commitment timer is only start _after_ we receive
a new commitment signature. Otherwise, the ticker will keep ticking and
possibly settle HTLC’s that’ve yet to be locked in, or waste a
signature causing us to be deprived of a revocation which is required
for us to initiate a new state transition.
Additionally, the commit performs a few minor post-merge clean ups.
This commit fixes some issues in the display of the stats logger which
resulted in: stats being printed even though no forwarding activity
took place, and underflow of integers resulting in weird outputs when
forwarding.
This commit also adds some additional comments and renames the main
forwarding goroutine to its former name.
Previously the integers would either underflow or the floating point
division would result in odd numbers if a node knew of zero channels
within the network graph. We now fix this situation by checking to see
if any channels exist before computing the network stats.
Fixes#211.
This commit fixes an issue that would at times cause the htlcManager
which manages the link that’s the final hop to settle in an HTLC flow.
Previously, a case would arise wherein a set of HTLC’s were settled to,
but not properly committed to in the commitment transaction of the
remote node. This wasn’t an issue with HTLC’s which were added but
uncleared, as that batch was tracked independently.
In order to fix this issue, we now track pending HTLC settles
independently. This is a temporary fix, as has been noted in a TODO
within this commit.
In this commit additional test have been added which tests the ability
of Alice and Bob asynchroniously exchange the payment between each
other. This scenario will be higly frequent in the payment between
payment providers.
In order to not close the payment stream on payment error the additional
field have been added in payment response. Now error from stream Recv()
function means that something has happend inside the client and we unable
to process any payment farther, and error inside the payment response
means, that something wrong has happend with payment itself.
In current commit big shift have been made in direction of unit testable
payments scenarios. Previosly two additional structures have been added
which had been spreaded in the lnd package before, and now we apply
them in the lnd itself:
1. ChannelLink - is an interface which represents the subsystem for
managing the incoming htlc requests, applying the changes to the
channel, and also propagating/forwarding it to htlc switch.
2. Switch - is a central messaging bus for all incoming/outgoing htlc's.
The goal of the switch is forward the incoming/outgoing htlc messages
from one channel to another, and also propagate the settle/fail htlc
messages back to original requester.
With this abtractions the folowing schema becomes nearly complete:
